WALCOTT, Iowa (May 19) – Mother Nature continues her black magic when it comes to racing season at Maquoketa and Dubuque speedways.
Both tracks were rained out over the weekend for the eighth and ninth rainouts of the season for Trackside Promotions.
So far only four nights of action have taken place.
Racing continues this Memorial Day Weekend as both tracks celebrate with Military and First Responder Appreciation nights. Active military, veterans and first responders will be admitted for $5 with I.D.
Maquoketa will feature weekly racing for Andover Meat IMCA Late Models, QCJeeps.com IMCA Modifieds, B&D Pit Stop IMCA SportMods, GRE / REV Chassis IMCA Stock Cars, Shawn’s Auto Service IMCA Hobby Stocks and Obie’s Bar and Restaurant / B&C Liquor 4 Cylinders.
Gates open Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are 6:15 with racing to follow.
Dubuque will hit the 3/8-mile dirt oval with the rescheduled Peosta Warehousing Logistics IMCA SportMod Twin 20s. Also on tap will be Merfeld Brothers Automotive IMCA Modifieds, K Motorsports IMCA Stock Cars, Kinsella Concrete IMCA Hobby Stocks and Trackside 4 Cylinders.
Gates open Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Hot laps are 5:30 with racing at 6 p.m.
